The locks of our security doors are equipped with 8 pins expressly designed to ensure the maximum passive security.
Break-in attempts are very often made by forcing the lock, attempting to drill into it, extract its cylinder or tear it away from the door. Locking systems must invariably be provided with protective devices that prevent opening, even when these most aggressive types of action are used.
Anti-extraction and anti-drill cylinder protection device
The Ø 46 mm cylinder protection device complies with UNI EN 1906:2012 standard – as documented on Test Report No. 007/DC/AEF/15 issued by the Certification & Testing Institute (CSI) – with maximum security level: 4°
- Burglar-resistant bevelled profile resists attempts to extract the cylinder using a scaffolding pipe.
- Body in carbonitrided steel 78-82 HRA for resistance against break-in attempts with picklock, milling machine and drill.
- Rotating and strengthened conic key guide for resistance against break-in attempts with picklock, screwdriver and drill.
1_LOCLKING SYSTEM FOR EURO PROFILE WITH PATENTED INTELLIGENT HEARTO:
this device “feels” the presence of the cylinder with its bolts extended (locked) and locks it in such position whenever extraction is being attempted.
2_ANTI-CARD RELEASE ADJUSTMENT PLATE:
the special section of the release adjustment device plate prevents forced opening of the latch bolt.
3_CUT-RESISTANT ANTI-DRILL TEMPERED CARBON STEEL PROTECTION PLATE:
an authentic 1.5 mm thick shield that defends all lock mechanisms.
4_BEARING STRUCTURE:
an additional profile in 1.5 mm thick steel on which the lock is mounted.
5_ANTI-DRILL TEMPERED STEEL BALLS:
defend the fixing screws used for the cylinder protection device.
6_SHAPE OF CALIBRATED CONE ANTI-DRILL AND ANTI-EXTRACTION DEVICE:
resists attempts to extract the cylinder using a scaffolding pipe thanks to its shape that does not provide any leverage points.
7_LARGE-SIZED ROTATING CONIC PAD:
resists burglary attempts using screwdrivers.
8_POLYMERIC BIT/TIP DEVIATION DEVICE:
whenever the rotating pad protection has been overcome, this feature deviates the drill bit or tool tip away from the cylinder to defend key mechanisms.
Mechanical locks with a European profile cylinder
Each of us wants to feel protected within the walls of our own home. A fundamental component to guaranteeing and increasing the security level of a security door is the lock choice: the more time it takes for thieves to break down the door, the more likely it is they’ll give up. This is why the choice of the lock is fundamental. The locks on our doors are equipped with 8 barriers, specifically designed to ensure maximum safety. The mechanical lock with a European profile cylinder consists of 2 parts: the lock is the structure while the cylinder is the heart that controls the system. The defender is placed to protect the cylinder: a steel protector that shields the door from attempts to break the cylinder or cause other types of destruction.
Single
Just one key for the entire locking system. One of the mechanism’s special features is the Torterolo & Re Smart, Excel or Prestige Euro profile cylinder security lock protected by an anti-extraction and anti-drill device. Security is also guaranteed by a patented system that blocks the lock in case of forced extraction of the cylinder. Gold Plus series doors are equipped with gearing for smooth movement of the bolts and minimised pressure on the key.

Double
Double security lock with two Euro profile cylinders. The first operates all the door’s bolts for locking and protects the door with an anti-drill and anti-extraction device. The second lock operates the latch bolt and the locking bolt, and blocks the primary lock, thereby allowing homeowners to regulate access by their service staff. Both cylinders can be keyed in order to obtain one single master key that operates both mechanisms and a service key that operates only one.

Bolt with cut-resistant insert
A Torterolo & Re patent gives these bolts super-strength and super-security. Built in steel with a large size section, they contain a tempered cut-resistant pin.
All Class 4 Torterolo & Re doors feature the installation of this type of security lock with Euro profile cylinder and gear movement.

Master key systems
KA
Single key system
This system consists of more than one cylinder with the same coding that can therefore be opened with the same key.
CC
Central locking system
Each key – in addition to opening its own cylinder (but not all the other cylinders in the system) – also opens the central locking system. All the keys in this configuration are considered master keys.
GMK
Group master key
Each room can be opened with its own keys; the master key opens all the cylinders of the same department, but not those of other departments or floors. A master key of a higher lever opens all the cylinders of all the departments and floors.
Security doors
All Torterolo & Re doors are sturdy and resistant to every type of intrusion, insulated against the noise and heat, and impermeable to air and water. All doors can be “suited” as preferred: there are thousands of different combinations of colour, material, and finish.
